Start the Heritage Days parade with a bang!! Take a tour of the Paulson Bros. Ordnance, followed by the cannon blast to start the annual parade.


Fridays & Saturdays, 10 am - 4 pm through Labor Day

On Display at the Historical Museum:

location: 450 5th Avenue

Stop by and view the new and updated exhibits at the Clear Lake Historical Museum. This includes the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star display.


Thursday, June 26, 4:00 pm

Haunted Wisconsin - Lumberjack Legends

location: Community Center Dining Room

  • Chad Lewis, researcher, lecturer, and renowned author, will give a presentation titled "Lumber-jack Legends".


Thursday - Saturday, June 26, 27 & 28 - All Weekend

150th Anniversary of Clear Lake Exhibits

location: 1st floor hallway of the Community Center:

  • The 70s, a decade of CLHS sports dominance. A display dedicated to the student athletes and achievements of that era.


location: 2nd floor of the Community Center:

  • Historical exhibit featuring the seven newspapers that have reported the news and events for the Clear Lake area since 1876. This includes the 1500 lb printing press.


location: Community Center Dining Room:

  • Historical overview of the Clear Lake Area Community Center - its early struggles to the success it shares with the Clear Lake community today.

  • Where's the Money? A historical overview display of the 5 bank buildings that have served the Clear Lake community since 1903

  • Myron Kuhn, the last ice man. Before refrigeration, blocks of ice were sawed from Icehouse Lake, gathered, and stored. Sales were made and delivered locally and afar. Read the story and enjoy the pictures and artifacts on display.

  • Nilssen's General Store has been a significant part of the Clear Lake community since 1903. Relive historical events of the business when viewing a display of pictures and artifacts.


Friday & Saturday, June 27 & 28, afternoons

location: Museum Lawn:

  • Clear Lake Fire Department outdoor exhibit featuring historical photographs, vintage fire equipment and the old hook & Ladder parade truck constructed in 1967 by Bernie & Bruce Paulson and Dick, Bob & Brian Briesemeister.


location: Clear Lake True Value: (during regular business hours)

  • Scan the upper wall area and view a wonderful display of hardware store memorabilia.
