About the event
Bandstand Summer Concerts are Back!Â
The Clear Lake Bandstand turned 100 last summer, and The Clear Lake Historical Museum, along with a group of local enthusiasts, hosted concerts on 6 dates throughout the summer. We are thrilled to announce that summer concerts will continue in 2024! This year, entertainment will include local bands and vocalists, from students to adults, as well as student dancers. There will be food, pop, ice cream, cotton candy, and guaranteed fun for the whole family. Admission is free! Bring your lawn chair or blanket, as seating is not provided. We look forward to a fun-filled summer!
Donations Welcome! While many are donating time and energy into this epic event, it still takes funds to make it happen. Your generous donations to the bandstand concerts and the CL Museum are also tax deductible! Donations can be sent to P.O. Box 2, Clear Lake, WI 54005

The high school marching band, led by Josiah Vitalis, Clear Lake band director, will perform favorites by the junior and senior high band. Last year the band opened our concert series by marching into the bandstandarea, causing quite a reaction from onlookers. These talented local students will perform for the opening act on Thursday, June 13.
The Git Backs have played large venues like Ho Chunk casino, Turtle Lake Casino, as well as Amery Theater, Amery Music on the River, Barron Music in the Park, SCF Music on the Overlook, and of course local favorites like Raising the Bar.
Dave Scheuermann not only keeps time for the Git Backs, he also owns and operates a Mayberry RFD bed and breakfast: The Taylor Home Inn B&B just East of Clear Lake, and is the Funeral Director at Scheuermann-Hammer Funeral Home. To support the efforts of bringing music to the bandstand, Dave is playing for us free of charge! Please take a moment to join us in thanking Dave for his generosity!
Last year we began researching the possibility of installing electricity in the bandstand, because it currently has none. Dave is now leading the charge (see what I did there?!) Electricity would provide a much better experience for the entertainers and food stands. At this time we have to rely on generators to run the equipment. It would also provide the ability to have lights in the bandstand all year long, to deter bad behavior and provide a safe environment. If you would also like to see electricity in the bandstand, please contact a committee member or the Village of Clear Lake.
In addition to all of the wonderful entertainers, the 2024 Bandstand committee includes: Michael Larson, Dawn Peterson, Lori DeBoer, Jack Eastman, Karen Pederson, Nancy Engel, Tim Wyss, Ray Cress, Joe Sauer, and Wendy Schoggins.
Special thanks to Toombs Septic for providing porta-potties and handwashing stations for our events all summer long, and to the Fall family for allowing us to have them on their property. And to all of our sponsors including Thrivent, Specialty Coating Systems, Bernicks, and Pretty in Pink Cotton Candy!
